The Directorate of Mines & Geology, Goa has issued a notification related to halting mineral transportation via road during the monsoon season. The government order declares that transportation of minerals by road has been stopped in order to ensure public safety. However, transportation for captive/domestic consumption and iron ore movement from the jetties to the port will continue unabated as per specific orders issued by the Collector, according to the latest reports.
