CoalMint has heard of a confirmed deal of 2000 t of South African RB2 (5500 NAR) grade coal being sold at INR 7,950/t, ex-Gangavaram port, while RB3 (4800 NAR) grade coal was sold at INR 6,500/t. There were few enquiries from sponge iron manufacturers, as elevated portside prices have dented demand and are deterring buyers from making large purchases ahead of monsoon.
