Vietnam: Domestic scrap purchase prices up by $22/t

Scrap prices in Vietnam risen further by VND 500/kg ($22/t) on 11 Jun’21 compared to the beginning of this week, sources informed SteelMint. The new purchase price for H1 scrap has been set at VND 10,000/kg ($430) and VND 9,700/kg ($420) for H2 grade scrap. After hitting their lowest last week, scrap purchase prices managed to increase this week. Meanwhile, Japanese bulk H2 prices are at $495/t, on CFR Vietnam basis.
