National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) is going to conduct two iron ore auctions for 151,200 t each from its Bacheli and Kirandul mines in Chhattisgarh. Out of the offered quantity, 16,800 t is DR-CLO while the rest 285,600 t is ROM, lump and fines. Both the auctions are scheduled for 29 May’21. According to sources, NMDC’s previous auction on 30 Apr’21 received aggressive response with bids moving up by around INR 280/t for fines, INR 930/t for DR-CLO, INR 300/t for ROM and INR 600/t for lump over the set floor prices. Tight availability of high-grade ore in Odisha had resulted in increased bids, SteelMint notes.
