Southern India-based pellet maker – KIOCL had issued a pellet export sale tender for about 50,000 t (Fe 63.5% and Al 2-2.1%). The tender-fetched active response and bids fetched were significantly higher than the previous tender. The bids received were around $234 FoB, however, the tender is yet to be concluded, SteelMint learned from sources. Indian pellet inquiries have remained on the higher side from China and SE Asian countries like Vietnam. The company’s last tender concluded in mid-Apr’21 was heard to be concluded at $205/t FoB.
