Turkey: Ferrous scrap import rises by 10% in Mar’21

Turkey- the world’s largest ferrous scrap importer, witnessed a slight rise in its monthly import by 10% to 2.2 mn t in Mar’21 in contrast to 2 mn t in Feb’21, as per data maintained with SteelMint. The Netherlands remained the largest scrap exporter to Turkey at 0.34 mn t, followed by UK and Russia. Supportive finished steel demand boosted bulk scrap in Mar’21.
