SAIL conducted a reverse auction for 14,500t ferrosilicon of 70% min grade for various plants of SAIL. As per the market sources, the tender was awarded at INR 104,500/t delivered to plants in four months from May ’21. The L1 bidder is Maithan Alloys, while Pioneer Carbide and Nalari ferro alloys were the L2 and L3 bidders respectively. Ferrosilicon prices in Meghalaya are at around INR 101,000/t Ex-plant.
