Govt. owned – Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction for around 1,500 t silico manganese (0-3 & 3-10mm of grade 56/16) on 31 Mar ’21 from its Chandrapur Ferro Alloy Plant, Maharashtra. Out of the entire offered quantity, buyers booked only 400 t at INR 55,100/t (0-3mm) and at an average bid price of INR 71,250/t (3-10mm) exw. The price of Silico manganese for grade 60/14, size 25-150mm is around INR 88,500/t ex-Raipur.
