Japan: Tokyo Steel’s scrap purchase price at Kanto work hits one-month low

Japan’s leading EAF mill – Tokyo Steel has cut scrap purchase price today for Utsunomiya work (in Kanto region) by JPY 500/t ($5). Prices for other four works have remained unchanged. The company would now pay JPY 40,000/t ($367) for H2 scrap delivered at Utsunomiya work. Prices have hit month-low after today’s price cut.
