Govt owned steelmaker – SAIL has conducted an auction for 8,550 t (2,850 t x 3 rakes) of basic grade pig iron today from its Bokaro Steel Plant, Jharkhand. The auction failed to receive bids due to higher base price at INR 35,000/t. In the previous auction conducted on 10 Mar ’21 for the same quantity, one rake (2,850 t) was booked at INR 33,950/t exw and the remaining two (5,700 t) were booked at INR 34,200/t exw.
