Indian ferrochrome prices are set to rise as bids were recorded as high as INR 104,900/t in the auction conducted today by Vedanta. Vedanta auctioned 2,900t of HC 60% ferrochrome of different sizes in 15 lots. For 10-150 mm size, bids were received in the range of INR 102,900-104,900/t. The participants in the auction were a combination of traders and end-users and the auction indicates that the market is expecting a price hike in the coming days.
