Vedanta Resources, one of the India’s largest pig iron manufacturers based in Western region has raised its offer by INR 2,300/t for the Gujarat & Maharashtra based buyers. The current offers of foundry grade pig iron are hovering in the range of INR 42,000-42,300/t as against INR 39,800-40,000/t in Feb’21. The prices are delivered to Ahmedabad & Kolhapur. The company has raised prices on account of strong demand from the domestic buyers along with surge in Indian pig iron export prices, which have hit 1-month high levels.
