India’s Chowgule to resume pellet production at its Goa-based plant

Chowgule and Company Private Limited (CCPL) is likely to resume production of pellets at its 1.8 mn t pa pellet plant-based in Goa, credible sources have reported to SteelMint. Sources indicate the plant to be restarted by end-Mar’21. The company has started sourcing iron ore for pellet production. In yesterday’s NMDC Chhattisgarh auction, the company had purchased nearly 100,000 t iron ore fines. It has also booked 36,000 t fines in Feb’21 Karnataka e-auctions.
