RB2 (5500 NAR) coal prices in Raipur region (key buyer of S.African coal) are assessed at INR 5,500/t ex-Gangavaram, while for Odisha the same grade coal is being traded at INR 5,700/t ex-Gangavaram. This difference in prices is mainly due to Raipur sponge iron manufacturers opting for domestic coal, made available by SECL in a recently held auction, market sources informed.
