The nation’s largest gas firm-GAIL (India) Limited, has positioned West Bengal on the gas map of India by laying INR 2,433 cr pipeline. This 348 km pipeline from Dobhi in Bihar to Durgapur in West Bengal is an element of the Prime Minister’s Energy Ganga mission to supply environment-friendly gas at a cheaper rate to household kitchens, industrial, commercial, automobile sectors and city gas distribution across all major towns of Purulia, Asansol and Durgapur.
