Japan’s largest steelmaker – Nippon Steel Corporation has reported its consolidated crude steel production at 9.64 mn t for the quarter ended on Dec’20. Production declined by 14.2% y-o-y against 11.24 mn t in Q4 CY’19. In response to recovering steel demand, the company has restarted its 3 blast furnaces out of 5, which had been temporarily suspended.
