SAIL conducted a reverse auction for 6,000t ferrochrome yesterday. The tender was for HC 60%with a tolerance of +/-3 %, As per the market sources, the tender was INR 115,000/t delivered to Salem, Tamilnadu. The company wished to remain anonymous. This auction price might help boost the domestic ferrochrome price further which is currently assessed at INR 95,000/t ex-Odisha.
