The FoB spot price for Australian premium low-volatile hard coking coal surged by $10.5/t yesterday to a near three-month high of $112.5/t with a BHP tender concluded at a higher level for premium mid-volatile material. Firm bids were reported from $103/t to above $110/t FoB Australia, according to market sources.
