Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) conducted an auction from its central India based Bhilai Steel Plant for defective steel products on 08 Jan ’20. The auction received a decent response with a bid price at INR 31,850/t exw – stable compared to the last auction conducted on 31 Dec ’20.
A total quantity of 20,165 t of defective steel was put up for auction, out of which 19,240 t (95.41%) was sold and only 925 t remained unsold. In the previous auction held on 31 Dec ’20, the total quantity offered was 16,957 t and the entire quantity was sold.
