Tata Metaliks Ltd (TML), one of the major Indian pig iron producers has concluded a tender for a rake of foundry grade pig iron at around INR 42,700/t FoR Phillaur (Punjab) siding, trade sources reported to SteelMint. The current offers of the same are hovering at INR 42,600-700/t FoR Ludhiana. Recently, the company has raised foundry grade pig iron prices by INR 2,100/t & low silicon (1-1.5%) pig iron by INR 1,500/t. TML has a hot metal capacity of 5.5 lakh tonnes p.a., in which about 3.5 lakh tonnes is converted into pig iron.
