NMDC conducted an auction for 133,000t (64,000 t fines and 69,000 lumps) on 24th Dec ’20 from its Kumaraswamy mines. Entire offered quantity was booked. JSW Steel remained the largest buyer at 100,000 t. The bids in the auction were largely in line with the set base price. The bids for lumps (Fe 62.54%) stood at INR 5,052/t and fines (Fe 60.29%) at INR 3,599/t (basic, taxes extra).
