According to recently released IMIDRO data, the steel exports (semi-finished+finished) of major Iranian mills have reached 3.8 mn t during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (20 Mar- 20 Nov ’20), down by 20% y-o-y. However, amid a surge in domestic demand and price controlling policies employed by the Ministry of Industries, Mining, and Trade, monthly figures indicate a 12% fall in exports on a y-o-y basis.
