Indian sponge iron export demand remained active, despite fall in domestic offers by INR 300-1,000/t ($4-14), w-o-w. Following the trend, export offers dipped by $5/t, w-o-w, as per SteelMint’s assessment. The fresh deals of about 2,000 t sponge iron lumps have been reported at around $355/t CPT Benapole (equivalent to $370/t CFR Chittagong, Bangladesh). Meanwhile in the last week, over 15,000 t deals were recorded at $360/t on CPT basis.
