Sponge iron demand remains active amid slight price fluctuations. As per daily assessment, prices fell by INR 100/t d-o-d in Raipur & a total of 4,000-5,000 t P-DRI deals were reported. Majority of deals were concluded by local players at INR 25,300-500/t exw, while remaining from Raigarh at INR 25,400-500/t on FoR Raipur basis. It is also learned that traders have booked good volumes on assumption of further hike in prices due to supply tightness in iron ore.
