Imported scrap prices in Turkey have jumped sharply by around $10/t in a deal concluded towards the closing of last week. A Mediterranean region-based steel mill has booked 38,000 t USA based bulk cargo, comprising of HMS(80:20) at $318/t CFR and shredded at $323/t CFR Turkey level for end-Dec’20 shipment. SteelMint’s assessment for HMS (80:20) now stands at $318/t, up by $13/t as compared to beginning of last week.
