JFE Steel expects crude steel output to increase by 0.5 mn t in FY’21

JFE Steel expects its crude steel production to increase by 0.5 mn t from the previous forecast. Output is expected to be at 22.5 mn t in the fiscal year 2020-2021. Demand recovery, particularly in the automobile sector, and early resumption of Fukuyama No.4 blast furnace are likely to boost the production in H2.
