Japan’s leading EAF mill- Tokyo Steel has announced another price hike for scrap purchase price by JPY 500/t ($5) for all its four plants, effective from tomorrow (6th Nov’20). The Company would pay JPY 28,000/t ($268) for H2-scrap delivered to both Tahara and Okayama works. However, prices for Utsunomiya works remains unchanged. This is the company’s second price hike in a week.
