Russian steelmaker EVRAZ reported its crude steel output at 2.89 mn t during Jul-Sep’20, a decrease of 3.3% compared to 2.99 mn t during Q2 CY’20. Production fell primarily due to lower pig iron availability following planned shutdown of blast furnace no. 5 and the launch of blast furnace no. 6 after completion of a major overhaul at EVRAZ NTMK. Total crude steel production during the first nine months CY’20 recorded 9 mn t.
