As per the data released by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the sales of passenger cars stood at 1.63 lakh units in Sep, a growth of 29% compared to the last fiscal. Likewise, sales of two wheelers were up by 11.6% y-o-y to 18.5 lakh units while passenger vehicle sales up 26.5% to 2.72 lakh units. The auto sector is hopeful that the upcoming festive season will pave the way for a faster revival of the industry.
