Pakistan scrapped ship imports surged by around 200% m-o-m to 205,189 LDT against 67,495 LDT in Aug’20, which is the highest since 27-months. Sources reported that most of the ships have been beached at Gadani due to highly competitive prices for vessels against India & Bangladesh. In recent weeks, Pakistan has been dealing containers at $370/LT.
