National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has awarded a INR 31,428 crore contract to mining company Thriveni Earthmovers to develop and operate the 18 mn t pa Talaipalli coal mine in Chhattisgarh reallocated by the government to the state-owned power giant in 2015. Specialising in iron ore, coal and copper mining, Thriveni Earthmovers is a globally diversified mine operator and developer.
