Indian Combined Coal stock (Coking Coal, Non-coking Coal and Anthracite) at major ports declined by 3.5% to 8.1 MnT, during the end of week 4 (19 Jan- 25 Jan, 2014).
SteelMint assessed that 16 major Ports of India had stock of Coking Coal around 2.5 MnT during the end of week 4, which increased by 17.6% compare to preceding week. During the same period, Non-coking Coal stock at Indian ports declined by 10.4% to 5.5 MnT.
However, it is noted that 15,000 MT of Anthracite stock of lied at Paradip port belongs to Rawmet & IMFA.
JSW Steel, Adani and SAIL have the highest quantity of Coal stocks i.e. about 1.6 MnT, 0.93 MnT & 0.92 MnT respectively. JSW Steel had stock at Krishnapatnam, Mangalore & Goa port at the week ended 25 Jan, 2014.
Paradip port on the East Coast of India had the highest Coal stock of around 1.6 MnT in the fourth week of January, 2014 which is slightly down by 8.3% from 1.7 MnT compare to previous week. Krishnapatnam was another port having highest Coal stock which increased by 2.3% compare to previous week.
Stock of imported Coal at Kandla port shrunk by 42.1% to 0.20 MT compared to previous week.
