According to Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation, during the first four months of the current year (March 20-July 21), Iran’s production of sponge iron stood at 10.5 mn t, up 11% y-o-y while that of crude steel was 7.4 mn t – an increase of 8% on year. Iron ore concentrates production was recorded at 16 mn t.
