OMC conducted auction for chrome ore of sub-grade quality (<40% Cr2O3) on 6th Aug 2020. The company offered 1,00,000t of ores at INR 2,181/t base price. The auction received poor response as only 20% of the total quantity was booked at base price. Production of regular grade ore is temporarily disrupted and the company is only fulfilling previous allotments.
