India restricts participation from neighbouring countries in commercial coal mining auction

The Coal ministry has made an amendment in its FDI policy, restricting participation of those countries in commercial coal mine auctions with which India shares its land borders. This means that 100% FDI from the neighbours will only allowed through the government route, restricting Chinese players in the Indian infrastructure projects amidst heightened tension.
