India: STC floats Tender for Supply of Imported Coal

The State Trading Corporation of India (STC), a Government of India Enterprise, floats a tender for supply of imported Coal on behalf of Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) Power Stations on FOR basis through Paradip/Haldia/Dhamra port.

Requirement of Coal is for DVC’s various Thermal Power Stations at Koderma, Mejia, Chandrapura and Durgapur for tentative quantity.

General Conditions

• Bidder shall have experience for supply of minimum 0.62 MnT of imported Coal, in any one fiscal year during last three fiscal years directly or through PSU’s to Power/Cement/Steel/ Fertilizer/Industrial utilities.
• Bidder or their associates shall have handled minimum 0.62 MnT of any dry bulk (solid) commodity, like Coal, Fertiliser, Cement etc in India in any one fiscal year during the last three fiscal years, including port operations and delivery up to destination.
•  Quoted quantity should be either minimum 60% or 100% by the bidders.

• Type of Coal: Imported Steam Coal
• Gross Calorific Value (ADB):  6300 Kcal/kg
• Moisture (ARB): 16%
• Ash (ADB): 10%
• Sulphur (ADB): 0.8 %
• Size: 0-50 mm

The tentative quantity to be supplied to various TPSs is as under:

Total Quantity: 3.0 MnT

Taxes and Duties:

Bidder and their personnel shall pay taxes, duties, levies, fees and other impositions which may be levied under the Applicable Law, the amount of which is deemed to have been included in the Bid Price.
