Second in terms of infrastructural spending among major ASEAN producers, Vietnam’s steel production in H1 CY20 stood at a little over 11.62 mn t down 8.1% compared to the same period last year. A total of 5.51 mn t of imports was recorded in the first five months of CY20. However, exports slumped by 24.6% compared to H1 CY19.
