Indonesian coal export falls by 28% y-o-y in May’20

Coal exports in May’20 stood at 29.6 mn t against 41.2 mn t in May’19 and m-o-m the same dropped by 7%. Non-coking coal exports stood at 21.1 mn t (-8% m-o-m), lignite at 6.04 mn t (-2.5% m-o-m) and coking coal at 2.24 mn t (+5% m-o-m). Highest exports were made to China at 11.4 mn t and India at 4.38 mn t. Jan-May’20 exports recorded at 177.8 mn t (-9.5% y-o-y).
