Indonesia’s ferrous scrap imports fall by 55% m-o-m in May’20

Ferrous scrap imports to Indonesia fell significantly in May’20 by 55% m-o-m, importing just 66,453 t of scrap in May, in comparison to 149,140 t in April’20, while against last-year, imports fell by 56% y-o-y, against 152,277 t in May’19. Major suppliers, Australia, US and Singapore witnessed a decline of 79%, 54% and 74% m-o-m respectively, in their scrap exports to Indonesia in May.
