China’s Shagang steel has increased its domestic steel scrap procurement price by RMB 50/t ($7) for all grades on increased demand for inventory replenishment. The purchase price for HMS (6-10 mm thickness) now stands at RMB 2,630/t ($372), inclusive of 13% VAT. These prices will be effective from today (24 June’20).
