Tokyo Steel today observed another price hike for scrap purchase, its 5th hike in less than 2 weeks, increasing bids by JPY 1000/MT for Utsunimiya and Kyushu works, and by JPY 500/MT at other three, from 4th Jun’20. They’ll JPY 23,000 /MT (USD 211) for H2 delivered to Tahara (Central) and JPY 22,000/MT and JPY 20,500/MT to Utsunomiya (Kanto) and Okayama respectively.
