Prakash Industries Ltd (PIL) – one of the major steel producers in Central region of India recently declared its sales volume during Q3 FY20.
Company registered their sales volume during Q3 FY2019-20 is 2.53 lakh tonnes recording growth of 6.4% on Q-o-Q basis and similarly 2.5% on Y-o-Y basis.
PIL has registered enhanced sales volume despite the challenging sentiments in steel industry during that period where few players couldn’t perform appropriate quarterly results.
As per market sources, the company largely sells wire rod in the merchant market, while remaining of products (sponge iron & billets) are mostly used for captive consumption.
The producer has about 4 rolling mills which has total installed capacity of over 1 MnT per annum for wire rod/rebar.
Prakash Industries Limited is also into production Power, Steel and PVC Pipe. The company’s plants are located in Champa, District Janjgir-Champa, and Raipur in Chhattisgarh.
