Indian Chrome Ore Dispatches decreased by 31% in Apr’19 as compared to the previous month. TATA Steel, one of the largest merchant miners dispatched 10.3,908MT of Chrome Ore in Apr’19 which is 36.40% lower as compared to the previous month. TATA Steel dispatched 16% of the total quantity to Nava Bharat which accounted for 16,829MT quantity. Meanwhile, 14,253 MT quantity was dispatched to Jindal Stainless, which accounted for a significant fall of 51% against the previous month. Jindal Stainless also purchased from OMC in Apr’19 the quantity dispatched for Jindal Stainless was 21,550MT which is 40% lower than Mar’19.
OMC recorded a substantial decrease in total dispatches of Chrome Ore by 34%; total dispatch quantity was 75,907MT in Apr’19. Moreover, IMFA and FACOR also experienced a fall in dispatches by 45% and 14% respectively. However, Balasore Alloys, Misrilall Mines Pvt Ltd experienced a hike of 61.68% and 30% respectively.
Misrilall Mines dispatched 14,186MT of Chrome Ore in Apr’19 and Balasore Alloys dispatched 28,628MT in Apr’19. Moreover, B.C. Mohanty and Sons registered a 74% fall in dispatches, the quantity forApr’19 was 2,807MT.
SteelMint assessed that the decline in dispatches was a result of the lackluster Ferro Chrome Market.
