Odisha – India’s largest iron ore producing state recorded drop in dispatches to 5.62 MnT in Jan’19 as against 6.54 MnT in Dec’18. On yearly basis, Odisha dispatches increased slightly against 5.53 MnT in Jan’18. The figures exclude movement for export and dispatches of captive miners- SAIL & Tata Steel.
Few major merchant miners are heard to have utilized their EC limits for FY’19 owing to which they do not have much material to offer in the market till March. Recently in this month Odisha merchant miners increased iron ore offers sharply.
Rungta Mines iron ore dispatches down 8% M-o-M
Odisha’s merchant iron ore miner – Rungta Mines, India’s largest private merchant miner, dispatched the iron ore at 1.40 MnT in Jan19. The dispatch recorded drop by 8% M-o-M against 1.53 MnT in Dec’18.
Serajuddin Mines dispatched 0.61 MnT in Jan19, down 12% against 0.69 MnT in Dec’18.
Essel mining dispatches recorded drop in iron ore dispatches to 0.51 MnT in Jan19 as compared to 0.55 MnT in Dec’18.
Iron ore dispatches from OMC, decreased 31% in Jan19
OMC, state-owned miner recorded 31% fall in dispatches at 0.51 MnT in Jan19 as against 0.74 MnT in Dec’18.
