Turkey: Finish long Steel Imports Surge by 15% in July 2018

Finish Long Steel Imports in Turkey elongated and as per latest data released by custom, incline by around 15.15% M-o-M in Jul’18.

As per the customs, the nation has imported about 83,957 MT in July 2018 against 72,905 MT in June 2018, increase by 15.15% on monthly premises. On contrary, Y-o-Y basis imports have seen steep lessen by 26.78% against 114,665 MT in July 2017.

Under Finish Long commodities following HS Codes has been considered – Bar & Rod (HS Code 7213 & 7214), MS Wire (HS Code 7217) along with Angle & Shapes (HS Code 7215 & 7216).

Sub-Commodity Wise – Rebar registered with major proportionate and reported at 40,863 MT in Jul’18 against 36,309 MT in Jun’18 which is surge by 12.54% followed by Structure at 37,666 MT in Jul’18 against 31,171 MT in Jun’18 up by around 21% and last but not least Wire Rod at 5,428 MT in May’18 against 5,425 MT in Jun’18 with almost unchanged.

Country Wise – In the month of July 2018, the largest exporter of Finish Long Steel to Turkey was United Kingdom – 25,739 MT almost doubled on monthly basis followed by Spain – 16,131 MT down by more than 31% & Saudi Arabia stood at 9,825 MT up by 109%.
