Iran’s DRI Production by Major Companies Increases by 7% in Current Persian Year

Iran, one of the largest producer of DRI in world has witnessed an increase in DRI production. Major steel manufacturers of Iran has produced 5,198,812 MT DRI during first three months of current Persian year (21 Mar- 21 Jun’18). Production was up by around 7% Y-o-Y.

1 – Mobarekah Steel was the largest manufacture of DRI in Iran during the current Persian year, the company produced 1,816,108 MT DRI, registered a downfall of 8% Y-o-Y.

2 – Khouzestan Steel was the second largest DRI producer during the current Persian year. The company produced 922,901 MT DRI in current year by registering a downfall of 14% Y-o-Y.

3 – Other major producers includes HOSCO (453,256 MT), South Kaveh Steel (325,181 MT), Khorasan Steel (350,836 MT) and Saba Steel (313,701 MT).

Iran Billet and Bloom Production by Major Steel Companies Increases by 26% Y-o-Y

Major Iranian steel manufacturers has produced 1,942,415 MT of billet and bloom during the current Persian year, registered a growth of 26% Y-o-Y.

1 – Khouzestan Steel Company was the largest producer of billet and bloom in current Persian year, the company produced 532,882 MT of billet and bloom during the period, registered a downfall of 4% Y-o-Y.

2 – Esfahan Steel Company was the second largest producer of billet and bloom in current Persian year. The company produced 580,831 MT bloom in current Persian year, by registering a growth of 10% Y-o-Y.

3 – Khorasan Steel was the third largest producer of billet and bloom, followed by South Kaveh Steel and Iran Alloy Steel Company with production of 278,192 MT billet, 254,126 MT billet and 90,678 MT bloom.

Iran Slab Production by Major Companies Increases by 13% Y-o-Y

1-  Mobarekah Steel Company was the largest producer of Slab during the current Persian year. The company produced 1,758,724 MT during the period, registered a growth of 5% Y-o-Y.

2 – Khouzestan Steel was the second largest producer of slab in the nation during the period. The company produced 443,551 MT of slab in current Persian year, registered a growth of 14% Y-o-Y.

3 – Hormozgan Steel, a subsidiary of MSC, was the third largest producer of slab in current Persian year, followed by Saba Steel. The companies produced 383,928 MT and 321,182 MT respectively with growth of 13% and 89% Y-o-Y respectively.
