There was a slight improvement in the consumption of Anthracite Coal in India. However, there is no prospect for any substantial increase in consumption in the future.
In the meantime, there was no change in the offers for the coal as Breeze Coke prices were at high rates.There is a co-relation between the coal prices and Breeze Coke prices as both can used in substitution of the other.
The latest offer for Anthracite Coal was assessed at around USD 135/MT FoB, which translates into around USD 147/MT CFR India; unchanged from the week-ago assessment.

During this month, imports of the coal have undergone some improvements as a few buyers imported the coal. According to the data compiled by CoalMint Research, around 210,679 MT of the coal was imported into the country during the 1-26Apr’18 period.
