In Nov’17, Met Coke exports from China shot up remarkably by around 189.72% over the imports in Oct’17, an analysis on the latest data released by China Customs shows.
The rise in the exports was due to the steel makers in the various nations speeding up their imports of Met Coke as Coking Coal prices were moving upwards. It was convenient for the steel makers to use Met Coke directly.
During the penultimate month of 2017, around 0.93 MnT of Met Coke was exported from China against around 0.32 MnT in Oct’17.
