Russia: Ferro Alloy Imports Remain Stable in Oct’17

According to the Russian customs, the country has witnessed no change in its Ferro Alloy imports.

In Oct’17, Russia imported a total of 0.21 MnT Ferro Alloys against the same quantity in Sep’17 as well. However, on yearly basis, there has been a marginal increase in its imports by 5% Y-o-Y against 0.2 MnT in Oct’16.

In Oct’17, Russia imported 0.10 MnT of Manganese Ore, 0.10 MnT Chrome Ore, and 0.01 MnT Silico Manganese. Russia registered a substantial decrease of 17% M-o-M in Manganese Ore imports, whereas, an increase of 25% M-o-M in Chrome Ore imports. While no change has been recorded in Silico Manganese imports.

Russia imported from only four countries in Oct’17 with Kazakhstan being the largest exporter to Russia, exporting 0.12 MnT in Oct’17, while South Africa, Georgia, and Gabon exported 0.06, 0.02 MnT and 0.02 MnT.
