Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), also known as Vizag Steel is a navratna PSE under the ministry of steel has invited a tender for purchase of 100,000 MT iron ore fines from the indigenous source.
The offer submitted by the bidder shall be valid for the period of 30 days from the date of opening of the bid.

After the K-K railway line was damaged in the rains in October’17, Vizag Steel was facing difficulty in sourcing iron ore from NMDC’s mines. Owing to this, the Rayagada-Vizianagaram route is the only available option for RINL to procure material from Bailadila mines.
The steel maker procured 84 rakes in Nov’17 from NMDC’s Bailadila mines in Chhattisgarh. The steel maker also participated in OMC’s iron ore e-auction conducted in Nov’17.
